What UK GDPR, Boards & Members Expect
UK GDPR Article 32. Member records, applicant details and, for some bodies, disciplinary or fitness-to-practise data are personal data under UK GDPR. Article 32(1)(d) requires a process for regularly testing, assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of your security measures. Election and ballot integrity. Your constitution, rulebook or scrutineer sets the rules for how a ballot runs, and we do not advise on those. In our experience, boards and trustees increasingly want independent assurance that a ballot cannot be stuffed, a result tampered with, or voter secrecy broken, particularly ahead of a contested election.
